A PHP script is the most common of five associations linked to the .php file extension. PHP is a general use scripting language that can be used in standalone applications or to create dynamic web pages. Similar to ASP files, the .php script is written and placed on a web server, then called when the web page using it is loaded. The .php file in this case is a script which sends data to the PHP engine where it is executed. The PHP engine then returns the output to the web browser as standard HTML. The .php format is open source and can be utilized by anyone free of charge under the PHP license. Though free and open, PHP is not compatible with the GNU/GPL license due to restrictions o how the name PHP is used.

I really do love FileCure because it's so easy to use - you don't have to be some kind of computer guru to get just what you need!

Plug and play? Not even close. I spent a lot of time trying to get my new, so-called 'plug and play' scanner to work. I was about ready to take it back. ParetoLogic FileCure got it working and saved me a needless trip (and gas!!) back to the store.

I have to admit I'm no computer geek. When something goes wrong, I usually have to call someone to fix it and it costs me a lot of money. When my printer wouldn't work, a friend of mine suggested I try ParetoLogic FileCure a try. I figured it was worth a shot because I was going to have to pay for a geek anyway. I was so happy when it worked... and worked properly!

I figured the graphics card my grandson gave me was broken when I couldn't get it work on my computer. It turns out that I just didn't have the right driver. ParetoLogic FileCure got it workin.

Hello FileCure folks:
I can't thank you enough for this great product. I just bought a new Vista machine and had been having all kinds of problems. First it was my screen and once I got that fixed it was the printer . Finally, my son suggested I try your product. It worked great and continues to keep my computer working. Thanks you.

I hate paying a lot of money for anything. That's why I buy mostly used computer equipment. Last week I thought I got taken when I bought a scanner. It just would not work. ParetoLogic Driver Cure got it working. With the updates, it makes sure my stuff will keep working and that I don't have to pay more money.

I work at a school so my mom thinks I am some kind of computer whiz. I have wasted so much time trying to get her stuff to work. Our IT guy suggested I try ParetoLogic FileCure. It has been a godsend and has saved me a lot of wasted hours. My mom and I can't thank you enough.

My wife bought me a new Vista system, and ever since I have had problems with some of my hardware. I saw FileCure, and decided to give it a shot. Ever since, the Vista and my hardware have been working great. Thanks!

I upgraded my system to Vista, and my printer started to act funny. No error messages, but it just wasn't working quite right. I read that drivers could sometimes be the problem. I looked online and saw FileCure. After downloading FileCure, my printer works great. You guys rock!

Most modern internet browsers are PHP compatible, but users of older browsers or text-only browsers will not be able to properly render pages with PHP content. One of the most common errors with .php files resides in improper coding. Like all web scripts, coding must be done correctly or the script will not execute. Web developers routinely test their code before publishing but occasionally an error will slip by. PHP errors should be reported to the webmaster for investigation and correction.

PHP has evolved over the years and can now be used as a command-line script to launch individual applications on the computer. These command-line scripts use the same .ph extension, utilizing a PHP engine residing on the hard drive. The technology has proven to be very efficient and usable for desktop applications that require speed and stability, without unnecessary additional functions.
Broderbund's CreateaCard software is the second program using the .php extension. CreateaCard assigns the extension to a Quick Prints project which can be opened by most flavors of Broderbund's publishing software. There may be backward compatibility issues when trying to access a .php created with a new version using an older version of the software. Updating to the latest version is the only solution to this. File association errors can also occur with these files if an operating system update makes changes or creates a new association with web page files. If this occurs and the user wishes to return to the CreateaCard association, that can be done through the operating system file properties.
The third association of .php files is with a software package called Calisto PhotoParade. This program was a tool to create slide shows from photos and other graphic images, with the ability to add music, titles, captions, and some basic special effects. The finished slide show was given the .php extension and could only be viewed outside of the PhotoParade software through a viewer provided by Calisto. There are widespread reports of the files not displaying properly, not linking the selected music to a finished project, and poor or non-working special effects. The company has since ceased production of the software, and terminated support at the end of 2008.
Microsoft Picture It! claims the fourth association of the .php extension. This software package was introduced in 1996 with the goal of making digital imaging as easy as possible for users. It is unclear what the .php extension was assigned to with Picture It!, as its native format used the .mix extension. The software was merged with Microsoft's Home Publishing software which was later repackaged as Digital Image. The software was discontinued in 2006 and is no longer supported.
The last association is unverified and without detail. There are reports of some older and unknown presentation programs assigning the .php extension to finished project files. The last reports date back to 2003, but on what type of computer they were found or what operating system they were for, is unknown.
